Bartending Economics For Your Wedding Day
We would like to share some free tips to help you save money when planning the beverage selection for your wedding.
Although this day is all about you, be sure that your guests that have flown in from out of town or drove 300+ miles to see you walk down the aisle can enjoy a refreshing drink during the reception. If you don't want to break the bank by having a fully stocked bar, no one will complain. They will drink whatever you have provided. So be smart and consider these 3 options.
1) Beer & Wine Selection
You can't go wrong with having just beer and wine. You can buy in bulk from Sam's Club and save a ton of money. To make things simple, you want to have at least some red & white wine, a domestic and an import beer. That's it!
2) Signature Drink or Frozen Drink
Get creative and name a drink after you and your significant other. Only purchase the alcohol for those 2 drinks and that will save money as well. This will also add a unique flair to your wedding reception and just think if you matched the drink colors to your wedding colors! Don't forget to consider a frozen margarita machine! We have a wide variety of flavors to choose from.
3) The Basics
Remember, people never know what to expect so even if you have the basic liquors, they will drink what is available. So think about purchasing 3 or 4 types of liquor along with a few mixers to have behind the bar.

How to Save Money Without Taxing Your Guests
For the "do it yourself" couple, wedding expenses can be overwhelming! Often times it comes down to finding creative ways to cut costs and maximize the wedding budget. The question of whether or not to have a cash bar can sometimes be a big debate between couples and or parents. The controversy stems from many things including the taboo of charging your guests to drink at your event or giving the appearance of cutting corners. Bottom line, you want your guests who travelled hundreds of miles to enjoy the celebration and as the bride and groom, you must make the best decision for your budget and the overall memory that you want to create for your guests.
If you're still deciding on whether to have a cash bar or not simply because you want to save money, consider the following:
1) Venue Selection: Consider selecting a venue that allows you to bring in your own alcohol instead of a venue that will charge you $10-$15 per person regardless if they drink or not. This will allow you to cut costs, yet provide a beverage selection for those guests who may wish to enjoy a cocktail or two.
2) Hosted Bar: Ask a family member to host your open bar and name a signature drink after them! Spend approximately $150 - $200 and purchase a few bottles of beer and wine for your guests. Or use that same amount to purchase a few basic liquors with 2 or 3 chasers like coke, sprite and cranberry juice. No need to break the bank on a full premium bar!
3) Rent a Frozen Margarita Machine: Consider serving frozen margaritas! We have a wide variety of flavors to choose from and our dual bowl machines allow you to serve 2 flavors at once.
